Words of Wisdom – Happy New Year
As I look back on this new year and all that it has brought me, I am very happy. I have learned a lot about myself both good and bad, in so many ways. I have had great additions to my life and I have had to exclude people from my life. Throughout it all, I complained, cried, and questioned instead of just rolling with the punches. I am extremely happy that I was able to get a job so quickly after losing my other one and I am thankful for the very strong professional and personal relationships that have come along with this new opportunity.
2010 will be good to me, because I will MAKE it good to me. I think that instead of trying to focus on positive things, I tended to focus on the negative aspects of situations around me and eventually made them worse. I also took a lot of peoples negative qualities and made them my own instead of being my own thinker and person. My best friend always talks to me about having positive energy because it will make everything around you better. Learning from my mistakes and setting up for 2010 back in November, has allowed me to be confident going into 2010. I am apart of something very exciting with this new blog that I am contributing to as well as expanding my blog. I am also going to be switching positions at my job, and I have a renewed focus on the fire department exam. I have a new addition in my life in my beautiful goddaughter, and I plan on strengthening my friendships as well as making new friendships in ‘10. I can only go as far as I am willing to go.
